Comments: Kid's looking looking over the starting field - probably hoping a driver would wave at them like we all did.  I don't know about you, but as a kid, if a driver gave me a wave before the start of a race, I was a fan for life!

01/01/02 Al Quellette Looking over this old photo of old bridge and I get choked up and I think what a great time that was. I had fun then, racing was fun, and even though the cars don't look pretty, it was still a great sight to see these guys run their hearts out.  Thanks for the memories.
01/02/03 Ed Duncan I forgot the 999 of Joe Karanowski   - Sorry about that, Ed

01.17.11  Mike I took this photo and as I remember it, the barely noticeable car to the left of the 104 is the 106 of Pete Frazee. The car to the left of the 999 is a black and cream color car with the black number 123 inside a cream circle and had an "NY" just forward of that. It was driven by Bill Pfister or Bill McCarthy or both.

As you entered the Old Bridge Stadium parking lot from route-516,there was a hill off to the right. They would bring this car to the track on a top loader, pull up alongside the hill and unramp it atop the hill. They would then drive it down off the hill on the low side. No doubt this was a forerunner of Bill McCarthy's blue and white 123 which came later. Also, the car that someone identified as the 00 looks to me to be the 30. I could be wrong though. It could be the way the light hits it or a door bang.

Lastly, there is an unpainted unnumbered sedan on the infield to the left of all the other cars. It came to the track that way for several weeks. Then, one week it disappeared. However, that same week two new sedans did appear. One was black with a white 111 (possibly Parker Bohn) and the other was Bill Chevalier's white and maroon car with the number 55-T in yellow. Although I'm not positive, I'm fairly certain that it's the 55-T.
