Vance Lineberger |
Frank Lineberger was my father and died in 1998 due to
complications of MS. He raced from circa 1950 through 1966. Also known as the
"Spotswood Flash," Old Bridge was "home" track until its demise then
Wall Stadium. I remember trips to Trenton, Langhorne, Nazareth, Harmony, Reading, Orange
County (NY), Fleming, and Pitman. Dad raced as a hobby (most did in the early years). '37
& '38 Ford coupes and sedans were the cars of choice powered by flat heads, 312 Ford
V8s, the finishing with 327 Chevy V8s. |
