| Comments: | Comments provided by Russ: Any collection of Alcyon pictures should have one of Johnny Karp. Karp set the level of the bar with his performances in the late 40's and early 50's. The Trenton,N.J. driver is shown here at the wheel of the "General Sherman", owned and built by the Beach Brother's at their Woodbury Motor Service garage. The maroon and white Ford coupe carried a gold number 1. Karp held the consecutive wins and total wins in a season record until Al Tasnady tied the record in 1958 with 9 season wins.
