10/09/03 | Steve Elias | The first time this car was brought to the track at Wilmington, Del. in 1955 Chubby Hower was supposed to drive but he got tied up and could not make it. I drove the car in his place. Stumpfy started driving the car that year. Hope this will help you. Steve Elias |
10/09/03 | 3-Wide | Thank you very much for your comments Steve. If there is anyway to get us a couple pictures of the cars you drove through the years, I would be happy to post them in the Vault. |

03/24/07 | Jerry | I can remember seeing Don Stumph race at Vineland. And
one race he came out of the fourth turn, racing another car for the win. and with his
wheels up against the fence and the sparks flying all the way down the straight away. He
took the checker by about 6 foot over the other car. Probably one of the best finishes I
have ever seen. The first race I ever saw was back in the 50's at Atco Speedway. I only
remember 3 of the drivers of that race, they were Henry Doer, Al Tasnady, and Steve Alias.
Been hooked on Modifieds ever since. Thanks Steve. |
