I remembered having this photo in an old scrapbook. Believe it came from a 1951 issue of NSSN. The caption says it was taken at Ruppert Stadium (the old AAA ballpark that was converted to auto racing) in Newark NJ , and that Holland and Campbell ran 3 5 lap match races, with Holland taking 2 out of the 3. It also says that Holland was next scheduled to run an IMCA sprint race at Sedalia MO. Campbell was having a great year and won the NASCAR National Modified title. |

Bill Holland was suspended from AAA in November of 1951 for racing in a non AAA event. In 1952, he showed up a many non AAA sprint car events and also got a stock car to race the NASCAR short tracks. He name shows up at many Ed Otto tracks in the east in 1952. |
