| Comments: | Comments: These photos were provided by Alycia, who told us that Frank Toste, Jr., a dear friend of hers, passed away this year… While looking through some photos that were originally from Frank Toste Sr, she found the photos posted above of the #222 with Geo. S. Applegate name on the door… Alycia tells us that Frank Toste Sr. was the owner of the shop and had a considerable amount of work, time and money in on the 222. The “kid” is Frank Jr. who’s "Denis the Menace” cartoon was painted on the trunk. (Frank Jr. was a Pip as a child, and was notorious for getting into trouble, not only at his Pop’s shop, but at the Old Bridge Track and So.OB Firehouse).
