Comments: | Comment from Ricky Rutt: The 29 and 88 were owned by Harold Cope. They were both driven by Freddy Fehr. The 29 won the 1953 Nazareth Modified title. In 1954 they changed the number to 88 and the car won the Pitman Alcyon modified title. The 88 pic is taken at Nazareth. |

07/18/04 | Ken Wismer Jr. | I think that the car in the picture really is Lou Mufflel's car. He
and Harold had falling off so Lou went on to build his on cars. My father then drove
for him, I'm a little foggey on the years but I think it was 1956,1957. Also I
believe that was the last flat engine to win at Middletown. Thank You - Ken Wismer Jr. |
