from Steve: The #84 (a 57 Plymouth) was originally owned by Romeo Gelsi
driven by Al Tasnady on the NASCAR Grand National circuit 57 and part of 58. Romeo had
went to Detroit and talked Chrysler out of the car. These cars were set up for racing by
Chrysler. The car was sold at the end of 58 and I drove it in 59. We ran with a club
called Penn-Mar who were affiliated with USAC. We ran three races at Langhorne 100 150 and
a 250 all USAC races one at Williamsgrove and one at Hatfield and Vineland. The picture
was taken at the owners farm in Newfield, NJ. |
