11.01.09 | Jeff Hardifer | This is the winner at Allentown July 4, 1947, Tommy Bradshaw of Trenton. He was Leon McBride's brother-in-law. Lucky Lee Crosby was a stunt driver whose real name was Harry Disbrow. |
11.04.09 | RL | I believe Harry lived with mother on Marshall Ave off Lalor
St and when home used his work car for everyday driving. I can still
hear the straight pipe dodge coming down the street from Nates Inn.
The GOOD OLD DAYS. Thanks for bringing that back. Richard R L |
07.12.11 | Cerpent9 | Tommy drove cars and racing boats. He was my dads best friend years ago. Always a painter, we would borrow his work truck and watch Indy car races at Trenton Speedway at the dead end streets on the backstretch atop the paint ladders on his truck. I called him uncle Tom and he still has a place in my heart. His wife, aunt Ann could drive a mean Edsel station wagon down the shore, trust me. |
