Comments: | I only used to make it to Nazareth on opening day in the 70's, so I'm counting on the Vault Visitors from the north to help us out with the 8x. (I'd also like to know some of the drivers in the background -thanks). |

01/10/05 | Bruce Creamer | This was the All Star 100 miler at Naz. National in 1969. Car was wicked fast down the long back straight, but gave it all back because it wouldn't handle through the tunnel turn. Race was won by Buzzie Reutimann. |
07/30/05 | Richie Draugelis | I have fond memories of seeing George Peters run at Islip Speedway. |
08/16/06 | JOHN RICKER | I'll agree that this picture is taken in Nazareth
Speedeway but it is at the "Small" Track. The landscape in the background on the
backstretch, plus the fact that the fence in the background is too close ! JOHN RICKER NAZARETH, PA |
6/14/08 | rjaustin | Gary London just mentioned in his column
that Frank Ariano, the car owner, passed away. Frank went back to the
Freeport Non-Ford days with his 82 (Bruno Brackey) and 282 (George Peters). He was a real gentleman and had a great sense of humor; but his cars were always ready to race. His ownership days ended at wall with Don Stives in the 8X in the late 70's or early 80's. |
