Comments: | Sammy Beaver was winning features as long as I can remember and could probably still! I think he started in the 60's and keep right on winning with either a Flemington or Bridgeport win in the 90's... |

02/22/03 | Russ Dodge | Great picture of the Fodor # 13. Two things neat with this
shot is that they caught starter Tex Enright in the photo and it shows the unique
carburetion on the motor. You see one large stack coming up through the hood. If memory is
correct they used the throttle plate on the four barrel manifold and had a fuel injector
working with it in the stack. Does anyone remember this set-up? |
02/24/03 | Mark Yaple | The unique injection set up was the work of the late Bill McConnell who fielded sprint cars and modifieds for many top name shoes. Also, well known engine builder Fred Bitner (Mark's father) got his start many years ago wrenching on the 13. Mark Yaple Ewing, NJ |
03/01/03 | Todd L | Sammy kept right on running with a comeback in David Graham's # 57 in the final Flemington 200 and his last win was in the cockpit of the Michael Brothers 51m at Bridgeport in the mid 90's. |
