Comments: | Through the years, Bob Pickell consistently had some of the nicest looking cars to appear at the speedway. Not content to just be pretty, he made sure to get around quickly too! I remember the beautiful #300 that Bob campaigned in the modified ranks during the mid to late 70's at Flemington |

03/04/03 | Jim Brewer | This car was owned by Loren Holland from White Lake, NY. Bob put it in the Reading Fairgrounds records as the only New York based car to win a Reading feature with Bob's only Reading feature win on Sept. 4, 1967. The car was metallic brown/red and white. |
03/04/04 | 3-Wide | I don't remember this car, but just from this one picture, I really like the way the car was lettered. Nice lettering wasn't a priority on too many cars back in the 60's from what I remember. A few really stuck out and I'm sure we all remember our favorites. |
05/10/03 | Jim Murrow | 3 wide;I agree about the lettering on this car. One car I have been hoping to see on your Wonderfull website, and haven't yet, is the #07 of Wade's dad, Lee Hendrickson. For a number of years, Lee ran a beautiful # 07 Sportsman car at Flemington. I think the last one he had before he switched to Modified, and to #Z-1. All of his cars were beautiful, but, I think it was the last of his # 07 cars, a 37 ford 4 door, was the most beautiful Modified/Sportsman car I ever saw. It was full bodied, with grill and side panals, painted white with beautiful lavendar pin striping. Anybody got a picture they can send in. Thanks, Jim Murrow |

Pretty sure this was a Labor Day Mon. race at Reading. |
