Comments: | Comments provided by Jim Brewer: I have attached another Harry McCaughey photo from the Reading Fair 1966. It is Bob Pickell and the Cozze Coach #300. The photo was taken after the feature and you can see that Bob is enjoying his favorite post-race beverage. I'm not sure how he finished this night but Bob finished in the Top Ten with this car on the following occasions - - Sept 2 - - 8th; Sept 9 - - 9th; and Sept 18 (Boone 200) - - 3rd. Bob started the year in Lucky Jordan's #2 and finished in the Top Ten a couple of times. He then reappeared late in the season to do well as noted above. As noted elsewhere in The Vault, Bob won a single feature at Reading driving the Loren Holland coach #280. |

05/15/03 | 3-Wide | I don't know what's more of a giveaway... the #300 or the plaid shirt. Now that I think about it, it has to be the shirt as Bob also was known for driving the #707, #80, #280 and I think a #28. I remember Bob in the later years with a cool looking Pinto bodied #300. |
10/04/03 | Bucky Stevens | Bob Pickell is a great guy, never misses a good party. His last car was the pinto that was originally Pete Chesson's first #76, driven by Stan Plaoski. Bob finished top ten in the Daytona 500, in the late 60's. |
