Comments: Great looking little coupe.  I may be wrong on this, but I think Wilbur also drove a #808 at Flemington.  That car may have been driven by Bruce Hooper, or at least a car similarly numbered...   but then again, after a while all this stuff kinda just runs together.  Either way, this was a sharp looking coupe!

07/07/03 Mark Yaple Wilbur Force was a dominant force in the sportsman division at Flemington in 1968. While the car pictured here is a fuel injected big block modified, it is the same car previously campaigned as a small block. Wilbur did pick up the 808 ride later on but was never able to duplicate his winning ways experienced in the sportsman ranks.
10/04/03 Bucky Stevens Wilbur and Bruce Hooper were related, cousins I think.  Wlibur set bruce up in the sportsman ranks.
12/18/03 Geoffrey Yoder Wilbur Force drove my modified coach, a dark blue # 94 coach at Reading in (I think) 1971. We also ran at Grantville PA under RSCA as well. Unfortunately at that time my car was not good enough for Wilbur's talents and he was never able to duplicate his success attained at Flemington in the #8 sportsman.   A great guy who did not get the breaks he deserved in the modifieds.
