03.18.10 | 3Wide | I forget if it was Russ Dodge or Bob Burd, but I think one of those guys told me that this was one of their all time favorite cars.... |
03.20.10 | R L | Who could forget the Maul Missile with Bud Olsen. Always clean and ready to battle the front runners |
03.24.10 | Ned Stites III | The Maul Brothers of Millville, NJ were first class all the way. The car was ready to go on arrival. They would roll the car off of the trailer race ready! |

This picture really brought back memories in my life. First I watched Budd Olsen drive it when I was 10 and 11 yrs old at Flemington and Nazareth. Next I used the number when I raced go-karts. Finally in my late 30s I found an add for Jackie McLaughlin's Maul Missle for sale, bought it with the intention of restoring it, had it for 10 years, because of financial reasons, did not restore it, sold it and it will probably never will be seen again. I can't believe that thru a string of events, that car was a part of my life from age 10 thru 48. It was a dirt car that survived basically in tact. I will always regret that I didn't get it restored. |
