04.26.12 Charlie Miller First I would like to thank Jim ( for taking these great photos) and Leroy( for providing them) . It really was a special time in racing , the late 50's to early 60's. Just look at the different types of transporting the race cars, some on trailers, some on tow trucks, while others were flat towed to the track. A few spare tires thrown right in the cars, those that had them. Some with full fenders , some cut down . I'm just glad that someone has saved some of this for us old timers to remember !
04.26.12 fltlnjok I think the IDEAL BODY SHOP / 43 may be a Jim Horton car out of Bradley Gardens / Bridgewater, NJ. I started going to Flemington in 1955 and remember that owner, sponsor and car number combination at least that far back. There was a time when that #43 car ran a GMC 6 similar to the Skinner #659 and gave the V8's fits.
