Comments: | Comment From Bob: Here's a pic from the first day I had a camera at Flemington. It was a dark, misty day. Novice, Sportsman and Modifieds all warmed up together in 1961. Cars are #77A Sammy Beavers, #A/2 Charlie Cregar, #300 Bob Pickell, #SSS Ed Farley, #1 Charlie Kingman, #2Jr Chuck Schneider, #95 Hoop Schaible and the #111 Maul Missile sits on the trailer behind the pagota. Pickup and trailer in the corner of the pits is for the Circle 9 of Vince Conrad. Nat Klienfield is on the mic. |

Beautiful picture. Almost looks like a painting and would look good hanging on any wall. |

Auriema? used to be a guy , Joe, Auriema,, from Morristown, N.J., worked for the newspaper, did an article on my boys from the old , original Oakland Valley Kart track in 1980, included a front page picture in the Roto section. |

What a great picture. Brings back many memories of what Flemington was like back in the day. It was the place to be on Saturday nights. |
