Dave was a great man and was the reason a LOT of people went to the races as far back as the Old Bridge days. He Always had time to talk and made you feel as if you had known him for years instead of just coming down to the pits that night. RIP my friend

In my World nobody was better the "Gentlemen Joe Kelly" and as someone who grew up just down the street from the Fodor Garage only my Dad had a bigger influence on me then Mr Fodor and Joe. I think this is the 67 68 version of the Fodor 13 the 70 car didn't have fenders.

Nice shot of Joe Kelly-alias Dave Haupt (I think) at Naz Nat. Looks like Ray Neary in the back in Fred's #21 and Grbac in the King Chev #7.

Pretty sure that is the future Larry Bowers 19A as shown in the Lemaster pics circa Nazareth 1970.  I think the picture shown is 1968?  If you look at the Lemaster picture's little windows and the way that they are cut out, and if you compare that to this pic, you will see that they are identical.  Given the fact that Larry did purchase one of the #13's, I think this is the one.

I just wanted to add that my aunt and uncle used to take me down to the pits after the races, and we always stopped to see Mr and Mrs Fodor at their car.   Both were really nice people, Mrs Fodor used to say that in the early week she would crawl into the 13 car and wash and scrub it with AJAX.  And keep in mind at the time she was a lil old lady.

I also remember Mr Fodor saying that his race motor was ALWAYS a 396ci and not a 427 or 454 like the other competitors.
