Comments: Comment from John Fahey:  I shot this picture after the races in 1966. I believe it represents everything good about stock car racing . I didn't know the young boy climbing up on the trailer to get a closer look at his hero's car, but he sure is in awe. This could be any child in any generation.

I'm not the kid in this particular photo, but he's doing what I couldn't get enough of during the same era. Every one of those coupe and coach Modifieds was unique and I would scrutinize them inside and out, every chance I got.
