Late Model Division ran a 100 lap race at Vineland Speedway on April 30, 1961. This
William Curley photo shows the #88, driven by Hoss Kagle leading the #11, driven by fellow
Maryland driver Ed Lindsay. Short track champ Jim Reed won the feature and collected $515.00 first place money. Hoss finished 5th while Ed Lindsay wound up 14th. Hoss's younger brother Reds Kagle, finished second to Reed's 1961 Chevy, with his 1960 Ford Starliner. Reds drove the Chrysler Hemi powered modified #141 at Vineland when the track was still dirt.
