09/04/05 | Ned Stites III | When I first went to Vineland in 1960 with my dad, Tommie Elliott became
my favorite there until they closed in 1965. Matty's #4 was a beautiful car and stood out
in a crowd. Inside and out a first class operation. With the great Tommie Elliott behind the wheel this combo was always a team to contend with. Tommie drove with precision and skillfully weaved through the pack. The competition at Vineland was very tough and Tommie Elliott often came out on top at the end of the night. Thank you for sharing this wonderful photo! Ned Stites III |
09/04/05 | 3-Wide | Big thanks to Larry as he had actually sent this photo to me a long time ago and I just now got around to posting it for him. Thanks Larry and I'm sure Ned speaks for many when showing his appreciation for this photo. |
09/08/05 | Kevin Eyrers | That's the late Ray Sullivan handing him the flag. Some may know Ray's son Glenn, who ran at Wall & New Egypt in the 80's. Ray was an exceptional storyteller who knew all the great racers from the 50's right up to the 90's. It was always great when Ray was telling stories! Glenn has been known to tell some great one's too. |
