Comments: | Comment from Bud Eisenhower: I acquired this photo from my late uncle Bill Eisenhower who also owned this car . Walter T Chernokal was the photographer as his name is stamped on the back. This car was purchased from Budd Olsen in the winter of 1966. (This is the same "Flying 0" that is pictured on page 12 (12.21.02), so this confirms that the photo on page 12 was prior to 1967 and it was Langhorne I believe as the car had a long exhaust pipe welded on and also the engine has a carb on it. Also note the roll bar at the A post Budd had built a couple cars using square tubing and this was one of them. I was a pit crew member as was my father who by the way is in the picture just to the right of Walt (head only). |

01.07.21 | Bob West | After Bill Eisenhower bought the car from Walt Olsen, Phil
Gemendon then drove it for Bill. My dad help out on this car and it was kept
at my dad’s garage. This car gave me the dirt racing bug. I knew Walt
Chernokal, when I raced Micro’s at Airport Speedway.
I would love to buy a
nice picture of the car. Email me at: Bob West
bdw36@outlook.com .(Thanks.) This is a picture of the car at my dads
house. |
