07/03/06 | Barry Hulse | I don't remember this version of Pat Keeley's car, but I do remember the cool #29 Valiant bodied Sportsman from the early 70's! And I believe it is Bill Altonen's 97 Jr in the background. |
07/03/06 | jerry h | Barry/remember the 29 also-think he won the sportsman crown in 72/think Kevin Conover owned this car later-kinda remember Pat owing Ray Hendricks old coupe in 75-76/dont think it made it to the track. |
07/04/06 | Ned | I don't remember this car but it looks alot like the 35a (candy cane special) that Wally Dallenbach drove. The headers are different and the door has been cut down but the rear/front fenders, hood, window cut-out to make a 5 window coupe, and radiator location look the same. |
11/07/08 | Bill Van | This car is/was the former Dallenbach #35a. At least I
believe Pat told me that when he was running it. Here it still has the Buick
motor. No idea what eventually happened to it. Pat ran the #29 ca. 1973-74, etc. (I can confirm that) which would be long after this photo date. Again, is 4 May 1964 the date for '64 G.S. Classic? With respect to the former Hendrick/Armstrong/Sculthorpe car eventually owned by Mr. Keeley, I plead ignorance and Patrick, as was his privilege, declined to discuss it last I saw him. |
