Comments: | Can't say that I remember the #27 above, but I do remember the #505 and the cool looking #50 coupe and #50 "Mustangish" looking car. How many times go we all remember Bill Singer announcing during the final rundown that Jay had won the carburetor bonus by being the first carb car across the line in a day when injectors could usually be found sticking out of everyone's hood! |

12/08/06 | Bill Ore | I don't remember this car, either, but I remember Jay driving Council Harrell's #35 at Bridgeport in the late '80's. |
12/10/06 | Joe Meschach | Boy, I really miss those wonderful coupes! |
12/11/06 | Mike Heitz | This car looks an awful lot like Budd Olsen's #0. Does anyone know if this car was the #0....Love these old photos |

Mike is correct. It was a Budd Olsen car. Tommy McAndrew also drove this car for a bit. |

Terry was correct. This car was Bud's car. George Ferguson of Fort Washington, Pa. bought it from Bud. Terry was also correct that McAndrews drove the car a few times but he lost the ride. George Ferguson was heavy into open wheels (sprints & midgets) and didn't have time to maintain the car. He entered into a agreement with Jay Stong to drive & maintain the car. The car was destroyed (as I was told) in a "firery crash". |
