12/27/06 Bob Scott This was one of Hoffman's full bodied cars that in the 60's were still Pink before he went with red and white. You can tell compared to other mods off the era how even with this car Jim was in a "weight saving" mind. I remember even smaller bodied cars painted pink @ Old Bridge and Wall in my youth Though not a "big" winner was always running up front with his cars on his own compared to the big name drivers of the era in cars like the Racz #41, Ferslew #2jr, McMahon #4, Barney #14, the "Eastern Raiders" from New England etc. Also on this car can remember the red shading on the black numbers that didn't seem to go with his usually pink and black scheme...
11/07/08 Bill Van Looks like early Hoffman with rare Chevy power. Yes? Assume pink color is therefore correct. Jim indeed subscribed to the "minimalist' school of Modified design for his cars but came to want more motor so later used 401 inch and larger injected Buicks.  Excellent runner at Wall Stadium.
