Comments: | Comment from Harry: My wife bought this picture at Grandview about 1969 or 1970. There is no photographers name on it, so I assume it was taken by Ray Masser, as he took most of the pictures at that time. The picture was taken on the homestrech. |

03/26/07 | George Gwynn, Jr. | Great picture of Donn at Grandview, probably in 1969. I helped to build
this car and we raced it mostly at Grandview, a few shows at Flemington and I remember a
trip to Atlantic City to run a blacktop show at the end of the season. We took it to
Reading one night but was rained out. I was in the USAF at the time, stationed at Dover AFB, 38 miles from my home in New Castle, DE. I spent a ton of time at Donn's home in Chadds Ford, PA working on this car. The American flag on that car was placed there me and became a common "decoration" on the car during the season........it was inspired by Elton Hildreth and his days at Vineland driving his 16-J. It was not unusual to see Elton flying the colors especially during the summer holidays. George Gwynn, Jr. Frederick, MD |

Does anyone know if this car still exists? |
