Comments: | Comment from Karl: This picture is from a group of negitives I recently found while going through some old boxes of mine. They are very rough (126 film negitives). 06/30/07 | John Armbruster | wow. I can almost smell the sauerkraut!! |
07/13/07 | The Barz Family | Between the ages of about 7 and 15 I got to the Nazareth speedway 4 or 5
times per year (70's into the early 80's). That Acme Markets sign beyond turn 2 is burned
into brain cells in my mind. Those few pixels bring back a flood of memories of sights, smells and sounds that were unique to Nazareth (different from Reading, Flemington, Dorney Park, et.al.) It is odd that if you asked me to name 20 things I remember about Nazareth Speedway, that Acme Markets sign would not have been one of them. But one, blurry, scratchy, 126 film photo glimpse makes it all seem like last weekend. Thanks for including this less than perfect picture. Awesome! The Barz Family Wayne, Lori, Connor and Olivia |
07/14/07 | 3Wide | We're not big on style points and trailer queens here in the vault, so Karl's old, scratchy photo fits in nicely with all of us who probably have a few wear marks on us as well! Thanks for the comment and thanks to Karl Mondschein for providing the photo. |
