Comment from Marty: In September 1969 the new Dover
Downs Int'l Speedway hosted a 100 mile modified-sportsman event that drew a
tremendous field of cars. It was a mixture of Saturday night modifieds,
short track late models and some super speedway cars too. Buzzie Reutimann towed one of his gorgeous coupes down from NJ and is shown here ready to take to the track. In an effort to be aero efficient note full windshield, full hood sides and blocked off radiator area. From Marty Little collection and photographer unknown. |
