05/04/08 | George Perkins | What a great photo, brings back a lot of memories :) One of the few Mopar powered cars of the day. If I remember correctly, he used to run a slant six before they went to the V-8's in the limited class. One thing that strikes me about this photo is how far forward the engine is in this car! |

This was one of my Dad's cars, Bud Hayes. He built race cars for most of his life. My husband Glenn Hall raced them for a few years, and my brother John Hayes raced them for 20 years. They mainly raced at Pleasantville, New Egypt, and East Windsor. some of their numbers were K8, K9, 71, and 72. Thanks for the picture of of the #6. |
