06/20/08 Jack Reinhard That looks like one of Ed Ackermans cars from Long Island.
He had 2 cars- #1 and #2 which had the best of everything for the period. The number and crossed flags make me think it could be one of his cars. Al DeAngelo ran his #1 at Langhorne in 1964 so the cars weren't asphalt only. The O'Rourke's Kosher Deli may be a needle at Bob O'Rourke who had a steak house on LI and as I recall was pals with Ed. I believe Gil Hearne may have been involved with Ackerman and could be at the wheel, anyone in touch with Gil???
06/20/08 Ned Could be Bob Trautman
06/22/08 Jim Kelleher #2 of Ed Ackerman's.  Other drivers were Sal Mauro and Gene Gamache.
06/25/08 charlie lindmar pete frazee also drove and won in ackermans #2 charlie lindmar
06/28/08 Dwight Clock Another driver of the Ackerman #2 was the great midget driver Johnny Coy. Coy drove the #2 to a feature win at East Windsor in 1965 in the second ever modified race ever run there.
07/12/08 Marty Little I have photo of this car (or one very similar) with Gil Hearne behind the wheel, at Trenton in '65. Gil's helmet is red in my John Grady shot and it appears that the driver's helmet here might be red as well.
07/16/08 Ken Johnson I have a color photo I took at Reading around the same time with Wally Dallenbach driving the car and wearing the same type of red Shirt. He also wore a harness that hooked to the cars seat belt and this looks very much like he has one on.
