Comments: | I'm not sure who was behind the wheel this day, but whoever it was, I'm sure his feet were nice and warm with the motor pushed back about as far as it could go in this version of the Big Donkey. |

01/20/03 | Don C | Thats Ploski in the 707. Chamberlain is in the 76 right next to him. |
01/20/03 | John Mc | I'd recognize that All-Star League helmet anywhere. JMc |
01/20/03 | 3-Wide | Now I don't feel quite as stupid. I received this great picture with a bunch of Gerald Chamberlain stuff so I assumed that it was Chamberlain, and then when I saw that helmet, it reminded me of another shot I have of Stan so that's why I decided to do the Vault's version of "Phone a Friend". Thanks Don C. and John Mc |
01/21/03 | Todd L | The Donkey was fast with anybody in it. Deasey always had lots of power in his cars |
02/08/03 | Dave Walter | I believe this is a picture from 1969-70, Gerald Chamberlain is in the 707 and Freddy Adam is next to him in the 76. This very car was weighed frequently at Leidy's Hardware in Delphi PA and at that time Chamberlain was definitely the driver. |
06/01/03 | Brian Loutrel | This photo definitely shows Stan Ploski in the car and the year is 1971. Note the lower hood and slightly modified body on the 707. Compare this photo to the Ace Lane Sr. photo of the 707 on the frontstretch at Flemington in 1970 on another page of this website and you'll see the difference in the cars. |
03/07/05 | Pete | Did this version of the car run a S.O.H.C. Ford motor ? Or was it something else? Thanks, Pete |
06/29/05 | Pipeline 310 | Yes it was the SOHC Ford Cammer 427 in the car |
11/15/06 | Chuck Hassler | Everybody missed one of the frequent guest drivers ---Dizzy Dean. Diz had a helmet alot like the one in the picture. |
01/27/07 | Charlie Miller | This is not Dizzy Dean. Diz ran the Donkey in 73 and I believe it was Deasey's first Pinto body. |
