Comments: | A group of cars rounding the turn at the Harmony Speedway. (Hopefully John Mc can fill in the details below of this really cool picture). Unfortunately, this is another dirt track that was open during my youth that I never visited.... Like many, I can only learn from the stories of those who were there... |

02/08/03 | Russ Dodge | The cars listed are on the money. This photo was taken at one of the Tri-State Car Owners events held at Harmony Speedway. Tri-State was an organization which tried to organize car owners so that all the dirt tracks would follow the same rules. So that a car would be competitive wherever they raced. They promoted Harmony Speedway in 1970 and part of ''71 to give there members a place to run as they boycotted the local speedways. The club and the concept was not successful. It wasn't until Glenn Donnelly came in with his DIRT org. that the concept materialized. The last thought is just an opinion. Thanks, Russ Dodge |
02/08/03 | 3-Wide | Russ - Opinions are welcome here in the vault! As always, thanks for the information. |
11/20/06 | Neal Mulligan | Some of favorite memories are from the Harmony days. Russ Dodge might remember the Mulligan boys running around the track with the water trucks and what ever would run. Best regards, Neal Mulligan |
