Comments: Dick Havens was another great driver from the late 60's who always impressed me as a very smooth driver.   I'm hoping you guys can help me with the year here as I know that Dick ran a #47 in the late 60's and I'm not real sure if this wasn't taken in 70 or 71.

2/22/03 Bob Servin I just want to say it was Dick & his family that got me interested in modified racing back in the 60's. I was friends (& neighbors of his family in Doylestown 60's to early 70's) with his kids & they took me to races at Flemington, East Windsor, Langhorne, Harmony, Hatfield, Reading, Grandview, Nazareth, & most likely some other tracks I don't remember (after all, I was like 6-12 yrs old at the time!). I still have occasional contact with his widow (Sis) & children (Richie, Harry & Noreen).
02/23/03 Dick Havens Jr. This picture was taking in 1970. There were (2) 93 cars and this was the newer one, that he ran and won the Championship at Flemington in 1970.. The first Championship he won at Flemington he was in the 47.. The older 93, he won the East Windsor Championship and that car, you can see at some tracks now with the Vintage Racing Car Club...The back decks are different on the two cars, The old ones back deck goes down to the bumper, the new one, as you can see in the picture, goes straight out and ends about a foot higher then the bumper!!!! Thanks for all the great pictures and keep up the great work...
06/01/03 Ken Bruce This is the year that I started going to races, my father was a good friend of the Taylor's who owned the #93, my father took us to Flemington to watch Dick Havens drive their car and I was hooked, haven't stopped going to the races since. Dick Havens was a very good driver who I think never got the accolades he deserved. I have a couple of pictures myself of the #93, they are the very 1st pictures in my photo album of old racing pictures. These are memories I never will forget.
07/14/03 Tammy I cant believe it! This car was owned by my Family, (The Taylors) My Brother and I have been looking for the 93 for such a long time. You see, my Brother and I have lost members of our Family and we wanted to see the 93 just to see a piece of our childhood. Richie, this is unbelievable, its Tammy!!!!!! Remember Me?
07/14/03 (Tammy) My Family owned the 93, both of them. Dick was such an outstanding Driver. He could drive that car like nobody could.
01/16/07 John I saw Dick race at Flemington and also at hatfield. He was great and very innovative. It's so sad all the great tracks have closed. I often go on the internet just to look at the tracks and drivers. It brings back such great memories.
