Comments: | Heres a good looking car that was always a steady runner. We used to sit right across the track in the first turn under the Section 3 - 4 sign and always had a good view of the 22 across the track in the pits between races. Looks like it might be Smokey Peters in the 3A behind the #22. |

04/11/03 | 3-Wide | Nice catch Bill - I scaled the picture and posted it and didn't see the Mark's #1 back there until you pointed it out. I'll have to get the word out to Ray Neary who took this actual Mark's car and restored it to race ready condition! One other thing about beautiful cars....from what Ray tells me, I think there might have been a little distraction technique in play here when it came to Wally's stuff. Who needs everybody snooping around your pit checking out whats going on with your set up and so on.... I think Wally keep his stuff a little on the rough looking side to keep curiousty seekers (potential competitors) away! |
