Comments: | I'm not sure why Bill Singer always referred to Del as "Mr" Del George, but if it was good enough for Bill, it's good enough for me! Del drove some really good looking cars including the #9 that I think Gary Balough ended up driving, the tiger striped coupe and Pinto and this sharp Gremlin. |

09/22/03 | Jeff McCLung | Great to see someone had a picture of this sharp looking gremlin, I think the car owner was Dom Ragno. Del was pretty competitive with this ride, I think some other prominant modified drivers spent some time in this car also. |
09/29/03 | Dom Ragno | Yes- your are right I (Dom Ragno) was the owner of this car for 5 yrs. It raced at Flemington and Nazareth. Del George was a great driver, other driver's were the late Gene Coyle, Billy Osmun, Paul Rochelle and Newt Hartman. I was happy to see a picture of it on the website, spent some great times at Flemington. It was a Burnett chasis with a Bollander 468 fuel injected big block Dell dove this car at Nazareth and Flemington |
09/29/03 | 3-Wide | Good to hear from you Dom. I remember that you spent a few years with Big B and the A car too!. If you get a chance, hope you can make it to Flemington this Saturday to share a few stories and pictures. |
09/29/03 | Dom Ragno | I ONCE ASKED DEL HOW THE NAME MR. DEL GEORGE EVER GOT ON THE RACE CAR. HE TOLD ME THE SIGN PAINTER WAS FOOLING AROUND AND THE NAME STUCK AND ALL THE CARS HE DROVE WERE LETTERED THIS WAY. |
