Comments: | Darryl and Chic were fun to watch back in the late 70's and I think into the early 80's at East Windsor. Here Darryl is at the wheel of his own 2J, but later went on to have additional success in the #747. |

11/23/03 | BOBBY FIORELLO | THIS RACER WAS "MR. SMOOTH" LATER ON DRIVING THE 747 AT BRIDGEPORT. I TOWED THAT RACER EVERY WEEK FOR I YEAR ONLY TO HAVE HIM RETIRE. HE GAVE THAT CAR A GREAT RUN EVERY WEEK. THANX FOR THE FUN AND DESIRE "MR. SMOOTH". |
01/09/05 | Paul Garzillo | Darryl #2, Glen Schwittering #80, Don Orashen [#?] and I were classmates at Hunterdon Central High School. I'm pretty sure the 3 all started in the rookie division at Flemington in the same year. Darryl and Dean Carmen still own Lentini Auto Parts im sure.Although Darryl had the most success, Glen Schwitering #80 did pretty good in the Sportsman division. |
12/28/06 | Glen Schwietering | Paul, I have seen your name on here and was wondering if it was the same guy I knew. Darryl started a year before me. Along with Mike Lorenzi in '80. I started in '81. Don Orashen and Brian Morris started in '82. I guess we all did a lot of day dreaming in school. |
12/28/06 | 3Wide | Glen - Was looking through some footage from the early 80's and you had the #80 running real strong... You can even hear Bill Singer announcing that you had friends from Germany visiting the speedway on that particular night. I hope to include it on an upcoming "Day at the Square DVD". Thanks for visiting our site. |
