Comments: | Gotta love those black shoes on a mostly black car! This car had a really great shape to it and was happy to see that John Lucas had a photo of it. I ran into Jay at the Lawrence Engineering Flea Market (Nov 2003) and told him that he could soon be found in the Vault! My only question is what would he have numbered his car if his name was Jay AFourhundredandseventyfive? Really cool car and was always one of my favorites... Not sure if it has enough black on it to have made it on Scott Pacich's "Color Me Black" list or not! |

01/14/04 | J. Winecker | Great picture. Brings back memories of my cousin, Jay Aten. Loved to watch him run. J. Winecker, Wichita, KS |
03/09/05 | John Barasuglia | Great looking car. I raced with/against Jay for many years. He taught me a lot though Im sure he didn"t know it at the time. You know what I mean, when a driver smokes you on the track and you kind of say to yourself, "so thats how its done" or "damn he's good" or " how the hell did he do that". A great fabricator too. I hope you're doing well Jay. |
