12/05/03 | 3-Wide | This former Brightbill Coach, while rich in
history looks a little rough around the edges... The only reason that I even mention
it is that as most of you remember, Bob was always known for driving beautifully painted
and lettered racecars. I got to know Bob late in his driving career from his Auto Repair business located on Whitehead Road in South River, NJ. I still remember getting a phone call from a friend telling me that Bob had passed away suddenly a few years back while only in his 50's. Bob was a gentleman and another shining example of a driver who on the track was as aggressive as he needed to be to win his share of races, but out of the car was quiet and unassuming - the kind of person that I always enjoyed talking with. |
