Kreitz Sr. as captured by Paul Irving. The Valiant was one of the fugliest cars on
the road with their ass end usually sagging and their skinny little tires, with
never anything to brag about under the hood.....but......lift that back end just enough,
and stick some big tires on the corners and some muscle under the hood and it was a
transformation that Cinderella would have been jealous of! I'm wondering if this car later went on to become Fred Orchard's #406 Rookie car campaigned at Flemington in the late 70's? |

07/09/04 | Jerry | Valiant/Coupe/Coach/Falcon-e nnuff said! This is what will get people back in the stands!!!! |
09/01/07 | JC | Is this the car he flipped at Bridgeport coming out of 4? I seem to remember him in a bad wreck back in 79 or 80 there. |
12/04/07 | John | I have to agree with Jerry. These bodies,
while not very aero dynamic were what the fans identified with. Today it's all cookie
cutter crap. Back then drivers and builders used imagination and skill to create some way
cool and ol' skool! John Endicott, NY |
09.03.10 | CHIP | JC ,He flipped this car at Reading on a Friday1977 and then he broke out the new sheet metal Gremlin looking B&K Chassis for Middletown the next night. That was the best year for Dirt Mod, racing in the North east still to this day..CHIP |

This car was the second Valiant that Don Kreitz Sr. built and raced. It originally had four trailer bars on it for suspension, but Don just couldn't get the car to stop pushing that way. So, he switched the trailer bars in the rear to coil-overs, and the rest, as they say, is history. |
