10.07.10 Barry Miler I was there the night that Harry got his last Reading win in this car in '74. It was a Friday night and he started up front and took the lead and there were no cautions and he won going away. Harry was a clean driver and always got the most out of his equipment. He was one of my favorite drivers at Reading and he was from my hometown of Pottstown, PA.
10.12.10 Edward Smith My first memory of Harry Moore was at the Wilmington Speedway in Delaware... I remember him taking a wild ride over the fence between the 3rd and 4th turn and coming away unscathed... During the interview he informed the announcer that he lost his shoes during the accident. I always though the Wayne Carl # 4 that Harry drove for many years was one of the nicest/cleanest looking cars of that era... As a young child I had the thrill of taking a slow lap at Nazareth with Harry Moore in the early 60's...Back in the day I believe on Easter Sunday's there was time set aside to allow the kids to ride with their favorites for a few slow laps prior to the feature event... Being a Hatfield and Reading regular, we got to enjoy seeing Harry run and win many feature events at both tracks. Thanks for posting this picture of Harry... It brings back many good memories...
