Here's Al Tasnady in the #K46 Valiant that was owned by Earl
Schroeder. Al would drive this car, followed by possible a green #24
Coupe that was repainted white and renumbered to the "#39", but the top
finishes stopped and Al made the decision to retire. (Here's a link to

01.28.12 | MD | By the looks of the track surface, this might be a photo
from the Reading Fairgrounds, possibly the 3rd turn. I thought this was his
last ride at the Fairgrounds in 1972? Anyway, the MAN from VINELAND was one of the greatest drivers I ever saw! I met him in 1982 at Flemington after a Saturday Night race and when I told him I grew up watching him at Reading, we ended up spending about 2 hours talking about the Fairgrounds and the different drivers he raced against. He really loved Lindy too. I will never forget that night. Taz was a great guy. |
