02.14.12 | George LeBlanc | That car was built by Cromwell Auto Body in Long Island for George Wagner to drive at Islip in 1969. I don't know what the deal was with Gene Bergin in the car for the Langhorne race. |
02.14.12 | Jack Reinhard | The car gene is driving was owned by Frank Conway from Long
Island (He also owned the X-9 driven by George Tet among others). Gene drove this car at Langhorne in I believe 1970. This car is a Chrysler body and it ended up being owned by Jerry Bartlett & driven by Lew Hennessey on LI and at Stafford. Interesting thing is that Frank was always an owner but when he built this car he drove it for a while at Islip and got going pretty good. |
