Comments: | For anyone that's was around 12 at the time this photo was taken, these have to be 2 of your favorite all time cars! Stan Ploski behind the wheel of the Ken Brenn Sr. owned #24 and Oliver Butler behind the wheel of the Fred Menschner owned and wrenched #21. Something else to think about is just how young Fred Menschner was as an owner back in the late 60's and early 70's (probably not much more than 20 years old) yet his #21 modified not only held it's own against the more "elder" owners of the day such as Brenn, Norcia, Deasey and many others... Fred's cars captured wins at East Windsor, Harmony and Flemington with drivers Ray Neary and Oliver Butler. |

11.12.12 | Brian C. Loutrel | The year is 1973. Oliver Butler drove the Silliman #4 in 1972 to the New Jersey modified championship, and raced the Menschner #21 (along with the #45 Pinto - don't recall the owner) in 1973. |
11.12.12 | 3Wide | The #45 was owned by "Reebe" from Staten Island |
10.11.13 | Tom Gray | Lots of cool in this photo. Ploski with the old leather face mask looking like a superhero, the downtubes on Butler's ride and the buried rubber tires before Flemington went wall to wall... |
10.11.13 | 3Wide | Actually, this pic is from East Windsor and I can't remember if the half buried tires were still there till the end, or if it just was left real wet down inside the racing surface to make sure that it wasn't an advantage for someone to go under the corner. |
