Comment: Both Mike Grbac and Stan Ploski drove this car, but
I'm pretty sure that it's Stan working the wheel inside the Emmett Alfrey
#47 in this one. It looks like the driver has a 3/4 helmet and I'm
pretty sure that Mike was wearing a full face by this time. More info
by those who may have direct info is greatly appreciated. On another note, it almost looks like a camera taped inside the role cage... I know that there is in-car footage from back in the day, but I'm not sure what car it was from - Could this be it? |

The 47 was one of Whip Mulligans top two best cars built. This car was fast whenever it was at the track. If I have the story right Whip built it but I don’t know how much. It has his A frame front end and it looks like his frame for sure. Does anyone know if it was a complete car or rolling frame or other? |

Yes the car was a rolling frame. Car was finished by Tom Carberry and his crew There was a special fuel cell built that went around rear to lower the weight. Mike had Whip build the roll cage off-set so driver was almost on left frame rail. Car had no power steering. |
