Comment: I'm told that the bottom photo with Maynard Troyer
and Geoff Bodine leading at the front of the pack during the pace lap was
used for a puzzle that was sold by the Kodak Auto Racing Boosters Club in
the 1970's as a fund raiser. These shots really show what a treasure
the town of Langhorne PA had.... The speedway made the town, and now
the town this section of Route 1 consists of a few car dealerships and the
same kind of stores and businesses that you could find anywhere. And where the racetrack once stood is now is a few abandoned stores and an empty lot. At least they can't take our memories away and images like those provided above by photographer Bill Farress make it that much easier for us to all remember... |

Nice shot of the hemi cuda in the first shot between merv and Roger Treichler. It was one of my favorite pavement cars of that era. also liked the # 15 coupe Grame Bolia and Bill Strosil. |

WOW!! What a great photo. Troyer Falcon, Bodine Valiant, Lenny Bohler’s #3, The Gennesee Beer Wagon #7, The Hemi-Cuda. The peak of Asphalt modified racing all in one photo. Lots of coupes and sedans, and one of the best racetracks as well. |

Any idea who drove the # 12 in the center photo? |

Is that Gordy Treichler (alternate?) on the infield (bottom photo) standing by the 47 waiting to see if someone doesn't make the call? |

I think that may be Ed Berrier in the 12 in the middle
photo. |

The gold #12 coupe is Max Berrier from N.C. That was one of the lowest slung coupes of the time. |

Great photo brings back a lot of memories. Was this the Race of Champions? If so, I'm surprised that Ray Hendrick in the Tant flying 11 coupe was not there. |
