Comments: | Comment: Really unique looking little coupe. In addition to the shape, having the engine compartment closed off was still a decade or so away from being the norm. Vault Stat Man John McCaughey added that this car is a former Dave Hollenbach #11"Stump Jumper." If its the car I'm thinking of, that was a little maroon colored coupe with a set of dice painted on the trunk. Pretty sure it said "Stump Jumper across the back and "The Judge" over the door. |

Amazing how little clearance there is between the rear wheel and the lip of the body. And considering the stagger it should be even tighter on the other side. I’m not sure this is the Stump Jumper even though the front of the roof resembles it. This body seems to be a bit too small and the hood too long to match what I can dig out in my memory. But if John has better info or a better memory who’s to argue. The old #11 was lettered as you mentioned, right down to the dice….. |
12.10.13 | 3Wide | Was there two "Stump Jumpers?" I found a picture of a bigger coupe, but I think there was also a smaller coupe, shaped like this one... (not sure...) |
