Comments: | Comment: Strong Flemington runner - first in the Sportsman ranks and then later in the modified division. Nick's told a group of fans at a recent 2014 FSHS meeting that his favorite when growing up was the Piscopo #39 driven by Al Tasnady and as you can certainly see the influence here on the car color and on the choice of car # and lettering styles. |

As a young boy, Nick was "my driver." I started rooting for him early on, made my own t-shirts with iron-on letters and cheered him on to Sportsman wins at East Windsor and Flemington. Sadly I missed both of his modified wins at Nazareth. I did get the opportunity to spend some time with Nick and his family in the pits at Flemington one day which was a racing highlight for me. |
