Comments: | Comment: It's because of cars like this built by Fred Menschner and Ray Neary, and that were driven the way guys like Ray Neary could wheel a racecar around the 5/8th's clay at Flemington that I became a life long fan of short track stock car racing. Not much more to say other than thanks Fred and Ray! (I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way when they see this picture!) |

This is the only car I ever made a model of and gave to the driver. Was at East Windsor in '70 or '71. Believe Ray still has it. |

The framing of this shot is second to none and really tells a story. It writes itself. Neary wins Flemington in front of a packed house. Thinking back to the pre digital days, it shows the mastery of Ace Lane Sr. and soon to come Jr. |

No matter what Ray was driving, He always drove it like he stole it, and put on a show you would remember. John Mick, Matawan NJ |

This was one of our cars that Wally Marks helped us out on. This car was built with square tubing and Ross center (non- power) steering, the reason for the rather large steering wheel. When we built this car the engine set back exceeded Flemington rules so we needed to move it forward before we could run there. What an outstanding driving job Ray did with this coupe and he did with a worn 427 big block on a carburetor running pump gas. |
