Comments: Comment:   Unique angle captured here from Gary Szabo using a telephoto lens from sitting up in the stands.  There's a blemish at the top of the photo that kinda takes away the roof of the first two red cars, but it's a great photo anyhow...  It captures the excitement... the anticipation... and the full grandstands at Nazareth!

03.09.16 Paul Madsen I see the Morris 111,Pete ran it at the end of the 74 season at Nazareth when the car was sportsman.
03.10.16 3Wide I see it now too - Gremlin with the blue back and white bumper.

Visible in this shot are the Pickell 300. Looks like the Stan Hawk 17 starting in the back. That car was just at the P’burg Mall show this week. Chris Barger in the 5a. Stan Friedman 1f. Fran Hardner silver car red bumper. Bottcher 666 Pinto. Maybe Tanzosh sedan. Inzeo 80. Garrett 2a Vega.

03.13.16 3Wide Looks like Stan's blue coupe, but I found another picture from the same day and it say's "Jake" over the door window.
03.14.16 Greg Chelak The photo of the Blue Coupe #17 in question is definitely Jake Rassiga from Bloomingburg , New York -
Jake had many "Rides" in his day driving his own race cars as well as other such this House Owned car.
Jake was partners in the beginning days of the D &J Auto Parts salvage yard , that didn't last but a friendship did.

Jake's Quickway towing was an other Rassiga business venture, as a matter of fact along Route 17 [The Quick Way],  There were a number of Stock Car Drivers that owned automotive related businesses along this five mile stretch of route 17 From Exit #122 Middletown Road to Bloomingburg Exit North -

Danny Mitchell D & J Auto Parts
Jake Ressiga - Jakes Quickway
Bill Mingey Bills Quickway
Mike Martine - Martines Auto Repair / Martines Radiator
Greg Chelak - Chelak's Towing and Salvage
Henry Sharp - Cottage Street Auto Parts he was a short distance off of the Highway but in the general vicinity

Jake drove the House #17 for many years As well as his own Semi Late Model #300 [He was Semi Late Model point Champion
Danny Mitchell Rides as well
Mike Martines # 770
and a host of others

Cheers,
Greg Chelak #990

Here is a photo you had previously posted with Jake "Getting There" with the House owned #17 Gremlin and #17 Coupe on one of Jake's Three Car Carriers - Middletown, New York, OCFS.

Jake was a character!

03.19.16 modcardon The photo above of three car carrier is at Nazareth Speedway. Middletown has covered grandstands and those are opened. Also you notice the top left corner of the Grandstand is the small building where the officials could view the track.
03.19.16 3-Wide ....I didn't even notice the stands in the background.  I'm too busy drooling over the purple Gremlin!

That is correct it is NOT Middletown.   I just was quickly looking at the #17's on the hauler that were previously posted.

Thanks for taking time for a closer look
