Comment: "I'd rather not talk about 1972." That would be a quote from Al Tasnady, in April of 1973, after announcing that he had decided to retire. Al drove the Schloder #K46 Valiant in 1972, and also a green #24, that was later painted white and renumbered "39", but whatever had been, no longer was... Not sure why... But Al felt it, and made the decision to retire over the winter of 72/73... And true to his word, he never drove another race car again. |
